In Spring of 2010 they had a website to tint images worth $500,000. Now it's worth $1 billion.

Yet people ask why income inequality is rising. opebo, chop their heads off. They produce nothing, make nothing, sell nothing, and yet a few photo filters that make people feel like professional photographers can be worth a billion dollars.

Thus my anger at Matthew Yglesias's tirade against manufacturing. Manufacturing is the only viable way to achieve greater income inequality.

Even worse, neither are wearing suits or even ties or jackets. And what is the short guy wearing.  At least they're button-downs.

I don't know, I see this as a lot less problematic than Apple, which literally makes nothing (they contract out their manufacturing, as we all know) except for drawings of white boxes, is the most valuable company in the world. They charge more than twice the cost of the production of their product to the consumer, a product which is not even particularly good. If you think of the iPhone 4, it is still 3G whereas other phones are 4G, the screen is smaller than on other phones, and the number of applications offered is more limited. Yet people buy it simply because it's considered "cool" and they want to own what their friends own. Herd mentality.

These guys, at least they offer their product for free (for now). If someone wants to give them $1 billion for this, who are they to turn it down? Would you?

I wholly. Agree. I don't blame them for taking the money. It's just that left-wingers often frequent these things and whinge about income inequality- this is the primary cause!

This has nothing to do with income inequality, other than of course being part of the myth which justifies it.

As I think Beet well understood, as we can see from his thread title.  Keep in mind though, fellows, these chaps were most certainly district 1 types, not district 12s.

There we go! Let's bring it back to good old Westinghouse, GE, Eastman Kodak, Nucor, Zenith, and co!

Look how terribly they're dressed, and the one in the "tux"...does his shirt have no studs? Okay, he's kind of okay.
