In the 2012 Board, and in previous elections' boards, about once a month there will be a topic that makes a big blanket statement about the Presidential race based on the conventional wisdom of the time. For example, I know for a fact that there have been multiple iterations of both "Is there any way Obama could lose?" and "Is there any way Obama could win?" topics, as well as similar ones for Romney, not to mention the sort of topics that come up between Gingrich collapses. I think this is funny not because the topics end up being full of incorrect predictions, but because I buy into the political narrative as well. Just like everyone else, when Romney was leading in South Carolina having won Iowa and New Hampshire, I felt like the inevitable is upcoming. Now, a voice in the back of my head keeps telling me that Santorum could have a clear path to the nomination. I have no idea what I'll think in a month. I don't know if it's the Media's narrative getting to my head or what but it's an interesting thought.

That's what makes this GOP race so great.
