Greetings fellow Atlasians,

The Senate has recently passed the caucus infrastructure bill which I support. However, the details of this bill have set up caucus strictly as an internal issue within the JCP and RPP rather than a springboard for a new era in bipartisan issue-advocacy. This is not a fatal flaw in the statute; a caucus can simply allow honorary membership to others outside the major parties as a way to circumvent the law. But, I believe the bill has created an incentive somewhat opposite to its intent: to give more citizens an incentive to join either major party so they could then join an official caucus they wish to become a member of.

If elected to the Atlasian Senate, I will support legislation to remove the stipulation that all members of a caucus be members of a major party. While still an important improvement to the game, this reform falls short of the changes its original version had the power to bring.

Thank you for your time. I will now take any questions you might have on this or any other matter facing our nation.

Citizens of our republic,

It appears that due to an error, the voting for At-Large Senator has begun a day early. This also means, that since the voting is scheduled to close 72 minutes after it has opened, that the election is likely to also end a day early (so don't wait until Sunday to vote!). I would like to encourage all of you to vote and would like to ask for your support.

If you have any late questions I will be glad to answer them.

Welcome to the Senate. While I suspect we will have differing voting records, I guarantee some issues will see us on the same page. Smiley

It will be interesting to have a real conservative in the Senate. Yankee supports $12 minimum wages... He's basically a Communist!
