He's trying to be as vague as possible so nothing can be used against him in the primary and the general. Reminds me of Thomas Dewey. Maybe we'll have a 1948 repeat: President with lackluster approvals, an even less popular Congress, and a bland and vague Republican from the Northeast. Cheesy

This is actually exactly what I am expecting.  A bad economy through the early campaign season and a vague north eastern republican opponent that leads up until October.  And then a swing in public opinion, allowing Obama to squeak out a very narrow victory.
