Without wanting to disclose details, I've had a rough past two weeks. Fortunately, I happen to be teaching the Confucian Analects at the moment, and a few stray verses struck me as apt. Not posting them for any particular reason, just thought they were appropriate for our times somehow.
君子不器. 先行其言,而後從之. 君子周而不比, 小人比而不周. 夫仁者, 己欲立而立人, 己欲達而達人.
The noble person is not a utensil. First acting, they speak, but only after, and in accord with their action. The noble person engages all, and does not form factions. The petty person forms factions, and does not engage all. Those who are caring establish themselves by establishing others, succeed themselves by helping others succeed.
