The coast/beach doesn't do it for me. Certainly doesn't justify the high prices coastal cities usually have. Mountains, on the other hand, are awesome to live near.

I have a weird agoraphobic thought about that. Though when I'm actually inland, it doesn't bother me much.

     The coast, since in my experience it seems to be more likely to have a climate that is suitable for human habitation.
