The thing is, this wasn't a gaffe. Michelle Bachmann really does have the spirit of a serial killer. She was just hoping no one would ever catch on to her ever-so-subtle "gaffe".

EDIT: According to Slate, John Wayne's parents did in fact meet in Waterloo, Iowa though he was born in Winterset, Iowa.  So I guess she'll escape the Comanche ambush on this one.

I was watching this on Fox News today, and I have recorded it to my TiVo..everybody I have showed now says they won't be voting for her for president.

Fox News did point out that she had made the gaffe, just for the record.

Actually, now that I think about it...the talking heads on Fox News Sunday and Special Report w/ Bret Baier are complete Romney-hacks who want to doom Bachmann's candidancy early.  Thus, Fox News = FF (for once).

This would be spicier if Gacy had been born and raised in Waterloo rather than just lived there for some years as a young adult and committed his first (non-lethal) crimes, relocating to his birthplace of Chicago after his first prison stint.
