No, because they'd all blow their brains out and there would be no one left to introduce it.

No.  Unless she did something BLATANTLY unconsitutional or reckless, anybody doing such a thing would be committing political suicide.  So, could there be one or two?  Sure, but they wouldn't go anywhere, and the people who did it would be done with politics.

Yes, I'm not saying "would it pass?" I'm saying "would it be introduced?"

I'd give it a 20% chance of it being introduced once.

No, because she wouldn't be able to govern, she would alienate all but her most committed core supporters, and her nasty, vindictive, tactless, slash-and-burn political style would lead to an epic Democratic wave in the midterm election. Given her track record, it's possible she wouldn't even finish her term, and she would have to fight uphill to get renominated.

Seeing as they didn't do it under Bush (who had 6 years or so of being the Liberal's Goldstein), I don't think they'd actually try secession.

That being said, it would certainly radicalize them.  Palin is probably the single most hated person in the world by the smug and "Tolerant" Left, so expect at least 4 years of Liberals bashing the crap out of the US for voting for her over Obama.

She'd be the first person to resign just to resign - I don't see that happening.

But she won't win anyway.

If that happened, she probably wouldn't ever take office, because the fraud that got her there would be too transparent.

I see the Liberals moving to Alaska, joining the AIP, and then seceding in such a scenario.

If I recall correctly, Alaska does have one of those "fancy European-coalition governments" in the legislature, so the Liberals could probably pull it off with the AIP.

You really think they'd manage to secede?  Seriously?

In reality the difference between Mitt Romney and Sarah Palin on policy is pretty minimal.

Which aren't that different from Bush.

Manage? No.
Hypothetical situation since we are on the subject? Yes.

But you said, "I see the Liberals moving to Alaska, joining the AIP, and then seceding in such a scenario" if she were elected.  If she were elected, I don't think there'd be a mass exodus to Alaska.

That's what they want you to think. Sarah Palin would have no idea, and thus be unable to stop it.

The communists will be able to see Russia and the other liberals will be next to Canada so they can get their national health-care and BBC. Plus there is oil there (like Norway), wildlife (wins the green crowd), and a nice city (because liberals do not live outside of cities). What more could the liberals want?

Maybe some super liberal backbenchers in uber-liberal states like Vermont and Cali. Not that they would gain traction, of course.
