'Unfortunate' is too mild of a word here. It's an outrage.

They should have left Mr. Fuller alone. They started crap with him, so they have no business complaining when he responds in kind.

Generally, I don't take threats lightly (and we'll likely never know if the assailant was influenced by tea party rhetoric), but this man was literally shot amidst a mass murder, so he should be cut some slack.

Besides that, he's a veteran. I just can't believe the way the Tea Parties and the media stab veterans in the back.

The media just needs to move to Russia.

And what was this inflamatory garbage?

It doesn't matter if he's a veteran or not.  And quite frankly, it doesn't matter if he was shot or not.  If he threatened somebody, he needs to be taken to be evaluated (that's one of the criticisms with what happend with Laughner... if he'd been evaluated before, maybe this all wouldn't have happened).

Ridiculous. The guy was also an anti-War 911 truther. So technically the anti-Bush, anti-War rhetoric probably did more to encourage this guy (who appearently decided to target Giffords in 2007), then did anti-Obama rhetoric in 2010. You are utilizing a tragedy for political gain.

Who was the guy who said on national tv that Obama needed an Oklahoma City Bombing to save his presidence? Does that not encourage a kooky obama supporter to potentially committ violence by the logic you guys imply here.

I have seen three violent outbursts from people in the past three our four months. The guy in Wisconsin who blew away his TV and then almost blew away his wife because Bristol was on Dancing with Stars. The radical environmentalist who tried to blow up Discovery headquarters. Lastly we have this guy Loughner who is impossible to place on the political spectrum but he most certainly is not a conservative, or a liberal for that matter. You have violent people on all sides of the political spectrum and like 66% of Americans say according to a recent, I think ABC poll, there won't be anything that will stop them. You going to censor Dancing with the Stars, remove all of Discovery's controversial programs, and repudiate the aggressive anti-war, anti-Bush rhetoric from the 2000's?

Union thugs have been using violent rhetoric to whip their membership up since they came about. And there have been instances of violence on the part of union members who, as you would say, are unstable and take the rhetoric the wrong way.

Besides that, he's a veteran. I just can't believe the way the Tea Parties and the media stab veterans in the back.

The media just needs to move to Russia.

Things happen for a reason and I think I know why the media jumped on the bandwagon of Loughner being a lone crazed gunman, which he is, so quickly and it wasn't because the facts proved he wasn't a tea party member or a Palinista. The media isn't in the business of doing them favors even if its the truth and wouldn't have cared if that accusation was let fly without any backing in fact.
