The poll results are in from our Nov. 17-19 poll here at GabuCorp Polling, Inc., and we are happy to present them.  First, We'd like to thank everyone who responded!  It was great to see such good turnout.

On to the results!

Note: Totals may not add to 100% due to rounding error.

District 1
Supersoulty holds slight lead over IrishDemocrat

While Supersoulty enjoys a slight lead over Sen. IrishDemocrat with 53.3%-46.7% of the vote in District 1, the race could still go either way at this point.  No write-in votes occurred.

Results:

Supersoulty: 53.3%
IrishDemocrat: 46.7%
Other: 0.0%

District 2
Siege40 holds commanding lead over competitors

According to our poll results, Siege40 should win the District 2 election in a walk, taking in a full 61.5% of the vote.  His closest competitor, Badnarikin04, takes in only 23.1% of the vote.  Philip is third with 7.7% of the vote, tying a blank write-in vote.

Results:

Siege40: 61.5%
Badnarikin04: 23.1%
Philip: 7.7%
Other: 7.7%

District 3
Complete tossup; Texasgurl and Al tied

Texasgurl and Al both have 45.0% of the final vote, making the race in District 3 a complete dead heat.  Dabeav accounted for the other 10% with two write-in votes.

Results:

Texasgurl: 45.0%
Al: 45.0%
Other: 10.0%

District 4
Complete tossup; Harry and Hermit tied

District 4 is, as was District 3, another complete dead heat, with Harry and Hermit both receiving 47.1% of the vote.  John Dibble accounts for the rest, taking in 5.9% of the vote with one write-in.

Results:
Harry: 47.1%
Hermit: 47.1%
Other: 5.9%

District 5
Gabu holds lead over StevenNick

In a surprising show in a district rated "leans StevenNick", our poll shows that Gabu has a lead on StevenNick in District 5, with 60.0% of the vote compared with 40.0% for StevenNick.  No write-in votes occurred.

Results:
Gabu: 60.0%
StevenNick: 40.0%
Other: 0.0%

As there is no way to certify the veracity of these results, they are presented simply "as is" for your information to make from them as you like.

Thanks again for everyone's participation!

D3 has lost Iowa for VA and ND. How does that affect the poll results for D3?

I can't directly tell you anything from the results, but a quick analysis shows that President PBrunsel does reside in Iowa, so that would be one vote off of Texasgurl's total, since I'm aware that he supports Texasgurl's re-election.  However, Virginia has a few Republicans in it and, to my knowledge, no Democrats, so those votes could potentially add to Texasgurl's total, since they would probably be more likely to vote for her.

Of course, they could also vote for a write-in candidate, and then nobody would gain and we'd be left with one vote off of Texasgurl's total.  I unfortunately can't really tell you what the exact effect of that change is; to definitively say would have required a much more sophisticated poll.

Hey!

Sorry; as Akno said, I was referring to your party affiliation in Atlasia, not in America.

My apologies if that lack of clarity offended you.

How many people do you think voted in every election and not just their own?

No idea.  That's why I added the disclaimer at the bottom.  As The Vorlon would say, there is no warranty expressed or implied. Smiley  If the election doesn't turn out exactly as my polls indicate, I won't be surprised (though if they do I'll gain credibility Wink ).  This poll is presented purely for interest's sake.

By accident I think I did. So I guess that threw it off a bit.

In the future I plan to construct a poll skeleton from scratch designed by yours truly that will alleviate that problem of people voting in every election, so we won't have that.  In brief, the idea is to have people select which district they live in, and then present them with one single question regarding Senate races corresponding to that district.

Polls are usually supposed to be anonymous, though.  Of course, I suppose, so is voting.

If Badnarik and ColinW voted for StevenNick, that means you're doing very well Gabu.

I only vote for D5.

That was me.

I missed a centrist/moderate/no-socialist candidate and remembered the Governor election.
