Maryland totals:

Statewide
MD-01

Currently early voting is at about 5% of RVs statewide, 7% in MD-01. Dems are turning out slightly more statewide (5.5% D vs 5.0% R), but Republicans have the edge in MD-01 (7.9% R vs. 7.4% D).

The registration stats are 45% Dem, 32% GOP in NC. The black turnout per the exit poll for NC in 2008 was 23%. In looking at the CCN exit poll for NC for 2008, I came across this interesting statistic:

Black Women (14%)

Obama  McCain
100%    0%

Black Men  (9%)
87%     13%

Has anyone ever seen exit poll result before that was 100% to 0%?  Smiley

I'll have my precinct numbers up abound 2:30 PM.

In 2004, there were 170 voters

in 2008, there were 214 voters.

In terms of anecdotes there was an Onorato soundtruck on my street today and I got a call from Rev. Jesse Jackson.

Both, together, might indicate a concern about African American turnout.
