I heard that Andrew Cuomo is going to lose the New York Gubernatorial Election by at least 70 points.

The coattails of his defeat will also extend into seven other gubernatorial races too.

This is all an obvious joke but amusingly this type of argument is not too far off from what jmfcst is saying. He actually tried to argue that O'Donnell's victory was proof Boxer was actually behind.

my predictions are stated for the public record.

but what part of it, exactly, are you questioning?  I have the GOP picking up +6 Senate seats and +35 House seats at 90% confidence factor.  Would you like to place a wager on it?  How about $100?

Yeah, but Rasmussen has a GOP "house effect".  Take them out of the mix, and it's 7800 seats at most.  In fact, Nate Silver has the chances of a GOP takeover of the House down to 3500%.  500% chance that they take over all 10 branches of government.  350% chance that they also win several local elections in parts of Europe, Asia, and Africa, and that they retroactively win every American election going back to at least the 1610 mayoral election in Jamestown, VA.

I'm referring to your comments on the night of the primary (when you believed O'Donnell had a chance at the general election), not current prediction.

Really, anything in their ongoing series about Joe Biden's misadventures is golden.

I disagree: the total will definitely be over 9000.

George Stephanopoulos agrees with this article.

This one is even more epic.

Meh, I've never really been a fan of their video news segments.  I think the print stuff is much better.  Of course, the print stuff isn't as good as it was 10 years ago.  Here's one of my favorites from 1996:

I Disagree:

http://www.theonion.com/articles/obama-to-take-break-from-stumping-to-preside-over,18306/

Though their "My Dumb Century" ones are the best:

"Reagan Declares Mid-afternoon in America; takes Nap"

"Heroic Germans lift grim specter of Polish tyranny from continent"

"Nasa, Hippies race for Moon"

"Muslim immigrants suspected of developing Nuclear families"

"Our Dumb Century" is fantastic.  As is "Our Dumb World".  In terms of The Onion as a whole though, I still think it was better in the late 1990s / early 2000s.  Yes, they still do some very funny stuff, but not with the same frequency that they used to (IMHO).
