I won't be an ordinary politician. I have no experience in managing anything, but I believe I can change Washington. I promise to be transparent. In these times of economic trouble and overall hardship, we all need hope, and I hope you can believe in me to change things for the good. By electing me, you'll be electing change that you can believe in. All the bad things that have gone on in the past decade? Well reverse that and think of the prospects, think "yes we can", why? Because I know I can. Vote for me. Vote for hope. Vote for change.

NOW DO YOU SEE HOW IDIOTIC OBAMA'S MESSAGE WAS? Be fooled by rhetoric once, shame on you, be fooled on rhetoric twice and see me as President.....

Dude, calm down.

PS: If having to run the Obama 2008 Presidential Campaign isn't experience managing something, I don't know what is.  It was a several hundred million dollar enterprise at certain points and had an insane amount of staff.

This is ridiculous. This guy/teenage boy has moved past intelligent criticism of Obama's policies and is now just being mean spirited and hateful.

Isn't that more of an endorsement for David Plouffe?

Yeah no kidding this thread would be better if it was a declaration that Mitt Romney's hair was running for president.

^^^^

This. Managing a successful Presidential campaign is the vetting process these days.

And Obama's campaign actually had a lot of detailed plans and proposals, he wasn't elected on blind rhetoric. Sure, he was inspiring, but the HOPE CHANGE YES WE CAN LOL is nothing more than right-wing spin.

Of course, I shouldn't even be feeding the trolls, but eh.

Obama's message worked, though. That's why he got elected.

Careful with starting these threads. They don't like conservatives posting without boring substance and pointless facts. I'll be proud to vote for you though since you're not an elitist.

They do, I'm 6 points away from being banned because I said that the first thing the GOP congress should do next year is cut Obama's pay to $250,000 so that he can get a taste of his own medicine and the benefit would be Obama's first act towards reaching out to the GOP is to veto a bill that cuts his own pay. I'm not sure who you are, but you seem cool. There were several fake GOP from PA last month that came on here to encourage me which led to me getting points towards banishment. Carry the torch buddy!

I wish you guys would learn that campaigns don't matter in presidential elections (as long as it's not close like Gore/Bush and as long as both candidates actually do campaign).

Obama could have ran the worst campaign, and McCain could have simultaneously ran the best campaign and Obama would still have won.

Obama's 2008 campaign proved nothing, get over yourselves. The man is inexperienced, full of it, and incredibly egotistical, and he's proving me right and like minded Conservatives and even Independents right with every passing day.

If this was 2000 or even 2004, Obama would NEVER have become President. He's so far out of his depth, it's beyond scary.

Obama could have ran the worst campaign, and McCain could have simultaneously ran the best campaign and Obama would still have won.

You're right in a vague sense -- the fundamental factors of the race largely determined who won, and whether or not this candidate made this gaffe or ran that ad or chose this or that VP doesn't matter except in the closest of races.  But if Obama ran a bad campaign and McCain ran a phenomenal campaign, McCain would have won.

Also, two additional facts:

1- There's also this thing called a "primary"
2- The Obama campaign was excellently run, so even if Obama could have run a worse campaign and still win, it doesn't mean that his management of the campaign can't be judged in any way, shape, or form.

So, yeah, you have a kernel of truth there, but it misses the essential point [which I wasn't, and am not, even defending, I was just correcting a fact].
