Once again, this complete lie is being pushed down the throats of the hard-working set by men who have never worked in their lives who think they know what's best. Ohhh, Britain. You're what America's going to look like in 30 years.

I agree with Tim.

The fact is, we are addicted to cars. We love car travel. It's the thing children are taught at school; hit a certain age, get a vehicle.

And outsdie my office window is a motorway slip-road which is bumper-to- bumper from 7am till long past evening.

Acorss the country, our small island is a car park in some of the largest cities and towns. It cannot continue. We cannot sustain so much traffic.

I fully support some kind of extended congestion charging and road pricing. The money must go into public transport. There has to be massive investment in rail and trams, which in these days of austerity means diverting money from road building to track laying.

It's not "white rabbit chasing". It's dealing with a planet in space which is over-heating.

I am small c conservative on this, it's why I joined and remain loyal to the LibDems, and why I feel naturally "of the left". The State should not pull so many strings and levers. We are human beings, not test subjects for PPE graduates. Let the people live their own lives, making their own decisions.
