Pretty straightforward, it's not revealed that Thomas Eagleton underwent electro-shock therapy, so, he remains on the ticket with McGovern.

Would McGovern win any more states, or would the results stay about the same?

This. McGovern's judgment is questioned less than in RL. However, the American people are hesitant to vote out an incumbent President due to the good economy and Nixon's successes in foreign affairs.
