Here's hoping this is Lincoln's version of Dole's Godless ad.

Here's hoping this is Lincoln's version of Dole's Godless ad.

I suspect that accusing Sunday School teachers of being atheists and including a fake quote of "There is no god!" from the candidate isn't nearly as damaging as some xenophobic anti-Indian ad in Arkansas.

Who's funding this?  It's "Americans for Job Security" but what's the group behind it?

Still, bound to leave minorities unimpressed. Might be biased judgment on my part, though, since I think a primary defeat would be even more suitably humiliating for Lincoln.

The Chamber of Commerce is running ads criticizing outsourcing?

Wow.

I can't see this ad doing anything but helping in a state like Arkansas. I doubt that either blacks or whites would be offended by this; rather they would be united and motivated against the foreigners stealing their jobs.

I don't know if I could actually vote for Lincoln over her opponents in the general election if she's actually comfortable with the Chamber of Commerce (probably the most pro-outsourcing lobbying group in the country) running racist anti-outsourcing ads against her opponent.

Why does the Chamber care is the better question.  From a strategic standpoint, spending $400k (the size of their buy) to affect the Democratic primary in Arkansas is ridiculous.  Maybe it has something to do with Lincoln's ability to affect financial reform.

Maybe they think she'll be easier to beat in the general. Cheesy

Yeah, that still wouldn't be a good return for their money.  If they just wanted to see an R win the seat, they'd best hold their fire and go after the winner.

The Chamber certainly doesn't seem bothered by contributing to anger over outsourcing.

Seems more like the Democratic version of George Allen's macaca.

cool response ad:

I like it in a number of respects.  I like the crowd getting bigger and bigger in each frame especially.

Cute ad. Speaking of which, if it goes to a runoff, would that be in a month or in 3 weeks?

Did Halter actually offshore jobs? I mean, I'm obviously not a fan of offshoring, but I can't find any reputable evidence for this claim.

My condolences.

Do you think that if he HAD actually outsourced jobs, and would advocate for policies that encourage that, that the Chamber of Commerce would be attacking him for it in a Democratic primary against Blanche Lincoln?

From my memory, Halter worked for a company that has hired people in India and has also laid of people in United States, like many global companies.  No mass outsourcing scheme as far as I can tell is behind Bill Halter's bio.

Halter gets in a damning quote, obviously aimed right at Lincoln:

Not sure what this will do, but I loved it, FWIW.
