What.The.Hell?  Aussies are turning into oversensitive prudes.  I hope they don't turn to terrorism to get us to stop making fun of them, that seems to be the only thing that works.

That does sound stupid. They "might ban" a humor website? Screw that

The article is poorly written since it doesn't explain what the Aborigines found offensive.

Scratch that, I just went to the site and I see what their problem is, the opening sentence and everything after it. Its still just satire though. Australia has no right to ban it.

Australia does have a right to try unproven, unproveable defamation. It rarely does, unless there has been a specific complaint.

Also, ED won't be on the (absolutely ridiculous, but not the MOSTEST EVIL THING IN THE WOLE WIDE WERLD!!!!11!!!) blacklist.

...and lastly, Americans suggesting our speech laws are stupid is just a little bit ironic. They *are* stupid, but so are yours.

I would reject the presumption that the US actually has freer speech in the first place, but one stupid thing about your freedom of speech is unproven, unproveable defamation that is presented as fact.

I'm sceptical of "defamation" laws.

Considering much worse can be written, and disseminated here in the states, without so much as a second glance, the states seem to have better, or if not better, more coherent speech laws.
