This may somewhat of a dumb question, but how does the BNP enforce their "white-only" membership criteria? A quick scan of the BNP website revealed that I could hypothetically purchase a BNP membership card for £30.00 despite, well, being neither white nor British. If I had £30.00 to blow away, I might be somewhat tempted to see if I could beat the system.

The BNP candidate that was wrongly declared the winner in a suburban Birmingham ward back in 2006 was expelled from the party shortly after it emerged that her father was probably black. A total coincidence, I'm sure.

Something to watch out for is the tendency of the BNP to dole out "family memberships"; this probably results in the membership-strength of the party being exaggerated in some places.

What makes this especially problematic is in Brittian you can loose a Government Job for being a member of a politically incorrect Party such as the BNP.

Not exactly; you can be disciplined (which may result in having your employment terminated) for not declaring political links if you work in the civil service. You are required to 'register your interests' as it were. I had to declare I am a Conservative member and past candidate. Despite working for a Labour and then an SNP government, this has not and cannot be held against me. I also declared, again as a matter of procedure that I am a member of a trade union.

Ok, i'm sorry to bump an old thread, but my dad used to know a guy called Peter Grimes who claimed to be a left-winger and went on anti-National Front rallies with him....but Peter was actually pretty racist himself....i wonder if that's the same guy....
