HP.  Advocating only buying from local businesses is just another form of protectionism (I feel the same way about the idiotic "buy local" movement in food today).

EDIT:

Worth pointing out: his last few years, especially after he became a real Muslim, he started making real progress.  Also, I have great respect for a man gaining literacy on his own.  Nevertheless, HP on the whole.  Isolation and separatism are automatic no-nos in my book.
