Politico has a reader poll with the question being “do you favor a second economic stimulus?”

The results with 762 votes cast:

Yes, Right Away!                                                     8 %
Let’s wait and see how this one shakes out.       15
No, the first one was bad enough.                       76
I’m not sure                                                            1

They needed a reader poll (we know how accurate those are) to figure this out?

Strangely, Joe Biden seems to believe he can sell the line that the stimulus succeeded.

His job is to sell that line......but there is no appetite on the hill for a second stimulus either......so all of this is really moot, no?

THere are some pushing for a second one, and Pelosi has talked about one.  However, I can't see how they could propose one now that wouldn't result in a backlash sweep of NJ and VA in the governor's election due to voter outrage (highly motivated electorate).  As it is, I'm thinking next year is going to be a purge in Congress anyway, even if there isn't a second stimulus bill.  I think any incumbant, Democrat or Republican, should start cleaning out their desks now if they are up for election next year.  They have been a major disappointment over the past year already.

I'm glad to know what Politico's readers' opinion on the stimulus is.

Wow, a self-selecting survey where one could dramatically change the results by posting it on FreeRepublic.  Seriously?
