It is expected that the region's GDP will increase over the next 6 months but job growth will be weak to nil.
Just from anecdotal evidence it appears that things are doing well at least here. Sales at local businesses have increased quite a bit over last year. We tend to go into recessions earlier and come out of them earlier than the rest of the nation, though. This could explain why unemployment in Minnesota was higher than the national average but has fallen quite a bit below it in recent months.
