This will probably lead to a lot of freak outs and drama, but maybe that's a good thing.    Maybe it would be better if there's a clause that says the duelers can also agree on different stakes as long as it's not deregistering for longer than 2 months.  Unless everyone who wants this is set on having it this way?

     The loser could resign from office.

Signatures, avatars, endorsements, party registration.  I don't know.  I'm sure people could be creative.
