Now if only Jay Inslee can do the same thing. Or at least dismantle the gallows.

I agree. Are there even any people on death row in Washington?

There are 7. The last execution was in 2010; there have been 5 executions in Washington since 1976.

Incidentally, the only two executions in Oregon since 1976 took place under Kitzhaber's previous gubernatorial term in the 90s.
