Quite frankly, knowing it would upset you is cause enough to support Albanese - oh and Shorten supports marriage equality.

I know Shorten supports it but Albanese would make it so much more of an issue.

And interestingly Paul Howes said his support for gay marriage would cause rifts in the Labor Right and accordingly decided not to contest the imminent senate vacancy in NSW.
