I basically agree with my senate colleagues. Good intentions, but definitely unworkable. I don't see how I could vote for this bill.

Since, as I mentioned, I find this bill as a whole quite unworkable in the present state, I do not have a strong opinion on striking one total clause...

Abstain

This has enough votes to fail. I let 24 hours for people who haven't voted to vote?

I just would like to remind every senator that senators do have the right to participate directly in the senate threads. There is no rule forbidding that and it was explicitly allowed in the former rules threads (ie it was likely deleted in order to make the senate rules shorter).

I prefer this situation than any poll, thread creation or complaint about minor things that could have avoided if the citizen had decided to directly participate in the senate threads (like what happened with the reintroducing the efficiency referenda amendment).

Okay, let's try to tackle the problem area another way. I've changed the ongoing consent part. Could it be considered agreeable?

Please Blair, could you *explicitly* express your opposition if you object please?

Senators, a vote is now open, please, vote AYE NAY or Abstain.
As promised, here is an amendment.

Some will argue that I butchered the bill, but what I think I've done is simplify it. I recognize the importance of strong disciplinary processes on-campus, but I also recognize that we probably shouldn't dictate exactly how things should be done. I thus centred this section on the overarching "themes" we wish to preserve/promote.

What is now Section 4 has admittedly been cut down, but I tried to keep the items that were at least related to helping victims. I don't know how this will go, but I figured it's worth a try. As it is, I don't think the bill will pass. Maybe the amendment will have enough good things in it for enough people to make this work.

Nay.

I do believe Hagrid didn't intend to strip the funding, but I do believe that it might be the case with this amendment. Except this part, the rest of his amendment is fine for me.

What are people's thoughts on this? I'd really like it to pass, and if there's anything that can be done to make it so, I'm open to hearing some input. I think we've managed to strike a decent balance already that can hopefully appease both sides, but let's talk about it!
