Hagrid I guess?

Well, just to say that Yankee agreed with my plan by PM.

I don't understand the concern with that.
I just want to do my job.

Lol the inactive governor.

------------
Isn't this effectively abolishing PPT in all but name? I've always opposed the 'reforms' that gave the Vice-Presidency more and more powers in the legislative branch and I can't imagine that this will be different.

This is respecting the constitution.
During the 19th century, the VP's main function was to be the presiding officer of the senate.

What would be the function of the VP otherwise?

Thank you DemPGH.

Yep, after, some people don't understand why this game is inactive.
Why? Simply, because every time someone tries to be active, he's always criticized. That was Superique 2 months ago for his performance as SOEA. He did a wonderful job, and he was attacked hard after.

I just want to do my job.  And the job of the VP is to administer the senate. That is the CONSTITUTION that says that:

Well quite aside from my general objections to these kind of reform efforts, the problem is unfortunately that not every Vice-President is going to be as active as you, Windjammer. The advantage of a Senator running the Senate is that they can be elected indefinitely and accumulate procedural experience. A capable PPT is essential for a functioning Senate (hence why we want to rule on TNF's case soon and thus lift the injunction Tongue) I don't know why Yankee wants to sign that away but that's his call.

Well,
Where is the problem oakvale?
The next VP would just have to give more slots to the PPT...

We would need to amend the Constitution (and substantially rewrite the Senate's rules) to prevent this. As of now, it's the VP's prerogative.

The advantage of a Senator running the Senate is that they can be elected indefinitely

This is precisely how the Senate's institutional rot has come about.

The Senate needs to rewrite its rules. They ought to be simple and straightforward enough for every Senator to follow, not an arcane accumulation of knowledge understood only by a small elite of senior legislators.

We need a Senate that can administer itself, but the Vice President is not to blame for its failure to do so. No, Windjammer has only served as life support for a body experiencing the consequences of a protracted attempt at institutional suicide by convolution.

And why would you want to do?
Abolishing the office of VP?
Because this is his main role, administering the senate.
