NVGOP is a shell joke, so hardly a BFD.
I wouldn't say that. Except the 2010 senate race, they hold the governor seat, one senate seat, and half of the representatives seat. For a state which is more and more democrat, that's a good performance. And locally, they won all the "toss up" state senate seats, and could have taken control of the NV state senate (it was extremely close).
And they seem to moderate themselves socially by ending their opposition to abortion and same sex marriage.
And their performance is relevant especially because the NV democratic party is led by a well-known bad ass
