PA is still a lean democratic state. 

Trump was a good fit for PA.  A more traditional Republican like Cruz or Hawley would probably do better in NC than PA. 

Also, the areas of PA that are trending democratic are where all the growth is.  Republican areas are shrinking.  There's only so much rural vote they can squeeze out.  So I think PA votes to the left of NC for at least a few more cycles.

If Dems win the PA senate race in 2022 it's probably a good indication that they also win the White House in 2024.
