Submission:
Husband and Wife disagree (or partners, or friends, or siblings, or parent-child, or boss-employee, or co-workers, or nation-states, or any other relationship). Wife must submit to the will of her husband, it reflects how humans must submit to the will of God, it is how to love and it is the natural way of things. Yielding to what is thought to be the inherently-superior authority of another. Deferring to one to make the final decision, it the final decision naturally belongs to that one person alone. More dictatorial than democratic. You can't have true peace and order without a hierarchy of submission, or at least that's how it would work in a perfect world. Submission is more loving and closer to God than collaboration.

Collaboration:
Husband and Wife disagree (or partners, or friends, or siblings, or parent-child, or boss-employee, or co-workers, or nation-states, or any other relationship). Husband and Wife discuss their points of view, the pro's and con's of the options, come to a better understanding of each other, and find a way that they both agree to even if it wasn't what either of them originally wanted. Not deferring to one alone to make the final decision, you make the final decision together. More democratic than dictatorial. You can't have true peace and order without working together and everyone having a voice and being considered, making decisions that all agree to in a consensus... or at least that's how it should work in a perfect world. This harmonizing is the way of true love, and true love is divine. Collaboration is more loving and closer to God than submission.
