I feel Gary's pain. He's just not one of those people that can argue every little point you ask him about from memory. Some people need notes to gather their thoughts or a teleprompter to make speeches. If this discounts him from being a good leader in your opinion, fine. There's plenty of polished d-bag career politicians to vote for out there. I want something to actually change for the better. That involves someone that isn't as good at the "game" like Johnson (or Trump if he wasn't a complete sleazebag himself).
Tax policy should be the bread-and-butter for libertarians. But he can't respond to the most softball question on it: "some economists say you're wrong, why are they wrong?"
Says he doesn't want to argue for it, then looks like he's going to punch the guy, and starts yelling about how marijuana is leadership?
He's not good at the "game" or the policy or the communication or the temperament...

Why does being a good candidate specifically involve having poor communication skills or emotional instability? Looking through history (especially recent history in the TV era) most effective leaders were able to communicate their ideas well and were composed.
No, I'm saying that doesn't necessarily PRECLUDE them from being a good candidate...and when you have such terrible candidates from the mainstream? I'll take a frustrated, somewhat-goofy Gary Johnson over any of them.
He's not just frustrated and goofy... he has serious ignorance, and temperament problems.
