But he's the new breed. Smug, sneaky, and evasive. The opposite of his golden boy persona. I'm barely old enough to remember when the Raiders of all teams were the bad guys. When you played them you could count on getting eye-gouged, taking a knee to the kidney, and/or maybe a kick in the nuts. Or you'd get into a real bar room brawl with one of those NFC teams (Bears, Giants, etc.). But by God, they came right at you. And there's something to be said for that. Now you have the new slick corporate image where they deflate footballs or set up high tech cameras somewhere to tape your walkthrough or something else and grin and say, "I don't know how it happened." "Did you cheat?" "Well, I don't think so, but you'd have to ask the league." And so on.
