Add to the long list of madness:

The context was. . . gun violence.

This of course would not pass Constitutional muster in any shape, manner, or form, but it nonetheless illustrates how batty many conservatives are. I mean, I'm nonplussed that a legislator would even express the idea.

god-fearing christians can't force us to attend church but OBUMMER's acorn thugs can force us to buy his health insurance?!

A-ha, well it just hit me that Fox would probably say this at LAST is Odumbo's plot to force everyone to become a Muslim!

This would likely be very good for the Satanist's.

If there actually was a threat of something like this happening, and there isn't, you definitely would see a spike in mock religions like that and religions generally. A colleague of mine and I joke a lot that we need to get into the God business, so there we'd have it, ha.

Interestingly, though, in 2012, PA lawmakers passed a symbolic piece of legislation called "Year of the Bible" and I think back in the 1980s Reagan signed some executive order to a similar effect. This is all because Christians are a very large and somehow persecuted majority!
