There are some real nutters in evangelical communities where sex and the body are taboo to an extreme, or else heavily regulated by God or something. So there's the frustration that comes from that anxiety and also that women and children in religious communities are among the most managed and least to be likely to challenge authority, so a combination of these factors makes this sort of behavior unsurprising.

I agree that accreditation needs to be tougher, and that's not only to weed out these places that are more about brainwashing than education - it's also that a lot of them offer degrees and programs that are borderline scams. Like, you can get a degree in "church counseling" and things like that. Assuming it's legit that should probably be just a certificate, not a degree. These bible colleges also tend to let in virtually anyone academically speaking, from what I have heard. We'd be better off without them.
