The map on who states are supposedly pulling for is interesting. In western PA, I would guess that the 49ers are seen as the lesser of two evils. People don't want them to tie the Steelers with six rings, but the Ravens are hated like the Browns used to be. Now the Browns are the lovable losers. In fact, after a bitter loss to the Ravens it's not unusual to hear a die-hard Steeler fan say over his 14th beer something like, "I miss the old Browns. God, I hate the ------ Ravens!"
If it's to be taken as reasonably realistic, there's no love in WA for the Niners.
Seattle / SF might become an interesting rivalry - would be kind of cool to see a big west coast rivalry spring up, especially a divisional one. Will make that 4:15 p.m. slot a little more interesting!
