Just announced.

% believing Trump will move the country in the right direction: 60% before the speech, 73% after the speech.

Reaction: 75% Positive, 24% Negative

More than half say they are more likely to vote for Trump after watching the speech.
Did they do a partisan breakdown? You'd think the audience would skew Republican for starters.

Luntz's focus group had about 6 of the 20 or so "undecided" move toward Trump. None moved toward Hilliary! The vast majority remained undecided. The rest would vote for someone else.

It was undecided Republicans, and even then 25% didn't view the speech favorably. That seems to be around the same level of non-support he is getting from Republicans in most polls.

No. It was speechwatchers of all political stripes.  Of course, for the RNC, this is going to skew Republican.  You'll have a pro-Democrat sample for the DNC.

Full results:
CNN/ORC Poll of Trump Speech Watchers

Overall Reaction to Trump's Speech
Very Positive 57%
Somewhat Positive 18%
Negative Effect 24%

In what direction will the policies proposed by Trump move the country?

Wrong Direction 24%

How did Trump's speech affect your vote?
More Likely 56%
Less Likely 10%
Not Much Effect 32%

That's a serious f***ing skew.
Of course there's going to be a skew to the right. I won't be watching a minute of the DNC sh**t show next week. I assume most Democrats (not on this forum), have limited interest in the RNC as well.

I fully expect to see this forum go crazy, though.
That's a prediction those on both sides of the aisle can agree with....

In a micro scale, it will be a mass freakout.
In a macro scale, it's just the fluidity of what a normal Presidential campaign looks like historically.

But nevertheless, the Atlas freakout will be YUUUUGE!
