She speaks with an accent and sounds like an "immigrant."
Why is this Republican arena clapping for Melania ?
Red and faux "Independent"/Blue avatars do not understand: Republicans are NOT anti-immigrant. We are anti-ILLEGAL immigrant. Can you understand the difference?

This is not compelling at all. It doesn't even seem like she likes him all that much, because there is no feeling behind anything she is saying.
Give her a break.

1) English is not her first language.
2) She's not a politician.

And trump also believes that an American citizen born in Indiana, but with "Hispanic Heritage" can not do their job in this nation, properly.
Must be that the judge's skin must have been just slightly "darker" than Melania's.
People have real world biases.

Your party would like to deport the illegals currently here and have no plan for reforming immigration visas beyond some vague, "skilled workers," promises. In addition, Fonald Trump advocates a closed border.

If that's not anti immigration, then I don't know what is.
Should the law be followed or not? If you come here illegally, should you be allowed to stay if you are caught? You have no right to be here.

A. It's impractical to deport 11 million people.
B. It's much easier to make a path to citizenship for the illegals currently here.
I don't prefer "easy" I prefer compliance.

So do you think that Joni Ernst got bumped out of primetime because of what the Iowa delegation did earlier today?

Also she is now speaking to an empty audience.
No. This was always the schedule. They were just running a bit late.

Ernst, Beardsley and Zinke were the last three to go.

lol @ the teenagers in this thread who think they know more about criminal law than the fbi. don't let facts pierce your bubble and disarm your biases; that would be so terrible.

re. convention

this is literally a convention of hate: that ~40%< of voters will cast their ballot for trump is a sad sign of how far we have to go as a country
Are you sure that you are a Republican?

does my avatar color bother you, or do you need to run off to your safe space because a blue avatar said something critical of the party that has nominated an overt bigot and seems insistent on anchoring itself to hate?
I only say so because must blue avatars are not FBI apologists that think Hillary! didn't deserve to get indicted for what she did and wouldn't attack another blue avatar because they believe she deserved to be indicted.

Further, I don't have safe spaces. I actually am a Republican. We don't believe in those.

ah yes, she "deserved" to be indicted. because our legal system should prosecute people for petty reasons instead of facts and statute.
Sorry, Negusa Nagast, your red roots are showing. A "blue" avatar defending Hillary! Yeah.. I have a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn. Republicans don't spout DNC talking points.

What's with your incessant avatar class warfare? All "red avatars" are hacks, "green avatars" are faux independents, and "blue avatars" that might not be hacks are treasonous and not actually Republicans. I don't think I've seen anyone on this forum care as much as you do about the color of the state they choose.
I just find it hilarious how some on here claim to be something that they are not.

I never said that "all" red avatars are hacks. There are some that are intellectually honest. They are not going to claim that Trump has no chance in New Hampshire, for example, and are not putting up the same insufferable "Trump is Satan" posts every five minutes.

And then there are those that red avatars show the same scorn and ridicule for because they refuse to coronate Queen Hillary! and support Bernie Sanders instead.

As far as the "greens" go, with few exceptions, they skew left.

Even more comically, probably about 1/2 of the "blue" avatars are not voting Republican, while in reality, 85-95% of all Rs will pull the lever for the Republican nominee, historically.

Negusa seems to defend Hillary! Love or hate Trump, the vast majority of true Republicans do not like Hillary Clinton and think she belongs in prison for what she did. They certainly are not defending Hillary! with DNC talking points.

I didn't support Romney in 2008. I thought he had too many Democrat tendencies for my tastes. But as a Republican, my opinion of what a liar Crooked Hillary is would never change. I wouldn't be defending the FBI because I thought Romney was a RINO. Negusa's logic does not compute.

Romney is more conservative than Trump, making me think you're just attracted to the bigotry.
It depends what issues matter to you. Romneycare was the blueprint for Obamacare.

Trump is the only one with the guts to call out this country's failed ILLEGAL immigration policy. Romney was practically for amnesty.

Plus, I thought it was idiotic that the Republicans were basically running a hedge fund manager that tore American companies apart and sent them overseas as their candidate of choice coming off of a recession based on shady things the banks did.

That was all I needed to have him not pass my "is voting for Romney worth jury duty" test.

Well, be prepared for a "reality" check this year, when a large portion of Republicans will NOT pull the lever for trump.
They will probably pull the lever for other down-ballot Pubs in their district/state, but not for the orange-haired clown.
I don't think the polling evidence thus far really supports that narrative. Trump is getting at 80-90% of Republican support in most polls.

The only real "reality" check will be whether Republicans (or Democrats for that matter) show up to polls at all. Partisan turnout will determine the POTUS, as always.

exactly how is he "encroaching"?

meaning keep your BLM, cop shooting, chicago drug murderfest far far away. Go have your wonderful diversity of smiles and sunshine and open borders and trans gay bruce jennerism. Enjoy it. Not for me
Bruce Jenner is a Republican. Just sayin'.

But I agree. As a Republican, I have no desire to watch a minute of the Democrat convention, nor be involved in any of the DNC live threads. It's neither my cup of tea to waste my time watching something for a party I agree little with nor my style to say bad things on a live thread just because I can.

Has someone told Jr. that they were running long? The Mico-Machines guy better watch his back.
I don't think they are running long. If anything, they are running early tonight. It's just Capito, Carson and Kimberlyn Brown left.

I expect it from an intellectually bankrupt party like the GOP.
I'd expect the same from the Democrats next week. Political rhetoric gets recycled. News at 11.

Wasn't tonight supposed to be about the economy and jobs?

It's pretty fitting. Trump never talks about fiscal, monetary, or regulatory policy, and whenever jobs are mentioned its always about how trade deals and immigration steals jobs. That's what this convention seems to be like too, mostly focused on security and nationalism related issues (just a basic "USA USA USA!" will get the crowd riled up like no other).
Because Donald Trump Jr. didn't talk about Dodd Frank and how Trump created jobs or anything.

Trump doesn't know anything about fiscal, monetary or regulatory policy.  I don't think he knows much about trade deals either.
Yeah, know nothing ignoramuses that have no idea how the market works become billionaires every day of the week.

Give me a break. Obviously, Trump knows how to negotiate deals or he wouldn't have never transformed the old Commodore Hotel into the NY Hyatt.

Call Trump a lot of things based on policy disagreements, but an idiot when it comes to finance is definitely not one of those things.

You know what, I'm absolutely sure that the Dallas police officer asked his daughter "what if this is the last time you ever see me" right before he got shot.

No, the original source is the cop's daughter, who told CBS her "side" of the story.

Not saying she was lying, but yeah, she was lying.
Technically, yes, but I was talking of where the media report came from.

If you want to call a grade schooler a liar, that's your prerogative.  Cruz is properly sourced though on that.

Do you really think that anyone on the Trump team had to whip up any true partisan?

Cruz built up this speech to end up with an endorsement and then turned WWE villain. He has balls, but what do you think was going to happen?
