It would probably be talked about on Fox and various right wing circles for a while, but that talk would fade as 2016 gets closer and more viable candidates start to announce. Following the election, Romney might say things like he isn't sure to keep the spotlight on him awhile longer, but probably announces he absolutely won't run before the Republican primaries kick into gear.
