Governor Johnson raises good points in his own campaign, and we should definitely give attention to his ideas. I've frequently collaborated with one of his most outspoken supporters, Ron Paul, in Congress. However, I'm the one candidate that holds up on all issues important to Americans. They want to have us out of Iraq, their jobs secure, their environment clean, and Social Security protected. My record speaks for itself here. No one can compete with me on all of these, and I'm fighting for regular Americans who are fed up with politics as usual. We can only go up at this point. Join me in this Green revolution and send a clear message to Washington this November!

Well, sir, our problem with healthcare in this country is that it's profitable for insurance companies to not provide health services. That's why it's crucial that we remove the profit motive from the healthcare industry and work on providing access for all Americans. Universal healthcare is a big priority of mine, and you'll see a Kucinich administration tackle the issue straight on with a mandate in the very first months of my presidency. I support transitioning to a Medicare for All system, which would put us right along every other industrialized democracy in the world with providing universal coverage, free of charge. Millions who have been uninsured will see a great improvement in their lives. Doctors and patients will be in control under this system, not insurance companies.

Recently I decided to sue the CPD. The last time we had a third candidate in the debates was Ross Perot in 1992, and they kept him out of the next election's debates because the two parties wanted to stay in control. Well, I don't think they can claim that for much longer. The people are speaking up, and I guarantee you that you'll see more choices than just the Democrats and Republicans on TV next month. We have to keep the pressure on them and demand that their policies on debates are fair to all candidates. They say that we can't win, but that's because they don't let us have exposure to begin with! If we're in the debates, then we'll have a good chance to actually win this election, with support from all across the country. Whatever happens here, we'll fight the good fight to the very end. My campaign is about representing the people, not special interests.

September 9
-Town Hall in Warren, RI
-Town Hall in Valley Falls, RI
-Rally and Fundraiser in Cranston, RI
-Rally and Fundraiser in Warwick, RI
-Rally and Fundraiser in Providence, RI

I have to say that I'm disappointed in Senator Biden that he would let his campaign air that ad attacking Vice President Giuliani's personal life. No matter how much we disagree on policies, you should never stoop down to dirty campaigning like that, and I've never done that in my own campaign. There's so much to talk about with the issues that you can easily criticize both of them. If you wanted to attack Giuliani, then bringing up his enthusiastic support of Iraq immediately comes to mind. For that matter, I should remind everyone that Biden also came out strongly for it, even when all the evidence wasn't there for invading the country. I've been a vocal opponent since the very beginning, and my administration will be one of peace. That's something that you can count on.

TV/Radio Ad: Fighting for the Working Class

Hi, I'm Dennis Kucinich. I grew up in a working class family, with my father being a truck driver and my mother being a homemaker. We moved 21 times during my childhood, and we even lived in a few cars. I learned the value of hard work and working together as a family during those years, and I still think about what I've gone through as I fight for families all across this country. In Congress, I've fought for a higher minimum wage and stronger workers' rights, and I've fought against job-killing deals like NAFTA and the WTO. As President, fighting for the working class will be my biggest priority. I'm Dennis Kucinich, and I approve this message because it's time for Washington to start thinking about the people again.

Statement from the Kucinich Campaign

We are delighted to hear the court decision in favor of our lawsuit against the Commission on Presidential Debates. This decision sets a precedent for later elections that will ensure equal representation among all viable candidates. Congressman Kucinich and Congressman Sanders are looking forward to debating their opponents in the coming weeks and making the case for economic and social justice directly to the American people.

So sorry for the delay in posting this; I've been out of town all weekend and I came back from work not so long ago.

Dennis Kucinich Campaign Schedule: September 10-18

We're in the debates, ladies and gentlemen! This is a great feat that we've accomplished together, and I can't help but thank all of you out there for contributing to this campaign and making this happen. We'll be competing right with Giuliani and Biden, and this is our best opportunity to make the case that we're the people's ticket. We're the only ticket that talks about the issues that matters most to Americans. There's been a lot of commotion over healthcare as of late, and I've seen my opponents talk about their plans. The fact of the matter, though, is that only the Kucinich-Sanders plan offers a full, comprehensive healthcare program for all citizens. Medicare for All will extend services to everyone among us and leave no one behind with coverage. Universal healthcare will become a reality under my administration, among many other reforms! You can count on that!

As well as New Hampshire, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, North and South Dakota, and Colorado?

Dennis Kucinich Debate Answers

Yes, it's absolutely time to raise it, and the fact that this hasn't already been done shows a lack of leadership from Washington, as well as an ignorance on what is really going on in Middle America. We've seen an uptick in poverty during the Bush years, and essentials in life like food and gas are rising in prices. People are being laid off and households feel the squeeze all around these days. The good news is that we have a safety net to help out people who are struggling, but we, the taxpayers, are subsidizing those making just the minimum wage when employers should be giving living wages instead of just using their profits for absurd executive salaries and bonuses.

Raising the minimum wage would not only lift millions out of poverty, but it would also boost the economy as a whole. With more to bring back home from a higher wage, you'll see Americans spend, invest, and save, which are all good for promoting economic growth, and you'll see a more sustainable economy that comes from that. Keeping people down in slave wages that make them resort to going on welfare isn't good for them and also isn't good for the taxpayers. You see those who say that raising the minimum wage will kill jobs and greatly increase prices, but many economists dispute that and point to evidence where that never happens.

My plan is to raise the minimum wage to $10 and to tie the rate to inflation for the future. Doing this will provide an immediate benefit to workers and also keep our economy strong for the long term. Vice President Giuliani doesn't seem to give much attention to raising the minimum wage, and Governor Johnson even goes as far to say that we should abolish it altogether. While I appreciate Senator Biden's efforts on raising the wage, his plan doesn't go far enough. My plan will empower Americans and leave them much better off than they are right now.

As we have seen in the last couple of years, engaging in preemptive war is a very risky and mindless strategy. Preemptive war has turned into permanent warfare, as there's currently no path towards completing the mission in Iraq and our soldiers over there are left continuously fighting in a war that has no objective anymore. Iraq has turned out to be a complete shamble, as we were duped about the evidence for going in, and the Iraqi people don't wish to see us involved in their affairs. Recklessly going in to a country like that has turned out to be bad for America and for Iraq.

We must have a more mindful and peaceful foreign policy. Our military can be used as a force of good and we should of course protect our nation's interests, but that doesn't mean that we should constantly act as the aggressors, as that only brings us more enemies across the world and actually endangers our nation. If there is very strong evidence that an active threat is coming to us, then we must come together to defend ourselves. Rather than starting conflicts, though, we should be working to end them and to normalize relations with our international neighbors. That is the way to achieve peace across the world.

During his farewell address, President Eisenhower called out the Military-Industrial Complex as a growing beast that future administrations must get a hold of, or else we'll continue to go down a bad path. If you're looking to find out where the government can make cuts, look no further than our defense budget, which continues to get more in spending every year. In fact, the Pentagon gets more than half of our discretionary spending. This isn't to say that we should cut down our defense spending to bare bones, because we can still maintain a strong defense but in a fiscally and morally responsible way. We can do this by completely rethinking our objectives. That means pulling out of the Middle East and the rest of the world; shutting down wasteful, expensive projects like new fighter jets or nuclear missiles; and doing a full audit of the Pentagon to see where else we may cut down on spending.

Along with cutting defense spending, we must also change our tax system. As it stands, the Bush tax cuts are disproportionately benefiting the richest among us, and the tax breaks and loopholes for wealthy Americans and corporations are diverting money away from priorities of the government, like healthcare or education. As President, I'll extend the tax cuts for the middle class but repeal them for high-wage earners--those who make over $250,000. They can afford having to pay higher taxes, and the benefits that will come from the new revenue are going to be tremendous. We'll have the money to pay for our essential services and we also will be able to pay down our debt over time. Promoting a policy of tax fairness is a sensible approach to increasing how much government takes in, and from there we'll be much more equipped to tackle our financial problems.

The truth is that we need a combination of spending cuts and tax increases to really address this problem. My administration will be about putting America back on track, and eliminating our deficits and reducing the debt is instrumental to that.

There's a word that I've often heard tossed around when I'm being talked about: conviction. Dennis Kucinich has conviction. Whether you agree with me on an issue or not, you know where I stand, and you know that I'll passionately fight for what matters to me. This has always been true of my career in public service.

I'll tell everybody watching at home about my days as Mayor of Cleveland. When I was Mayor, business interests came to me and gave a dire choice: either sell off the city's public electric utility. or the city goes into default. I knew that by making the city utility privatized, everyone in Cleveland would see their electric bills jump and have their wallets pinched some more. I stood firm and refused to sell it off. While this decision may have cost me my mayorship, it turned out to be the right thing to do. Cleveland Public Power is reported to have saved customers about $200 million compared to if it was in private hands, and thousands of union jobs were saved. The Cleveland City Council later publicly commended me for having the courage to stand up to big business all those years ago.

In Congress, I've kept the same convictions as I always have, standing up for the little guy and opposing special interests for the few. I was one of the few voices against Iraq from the beginning, and I've introduced meaningful, comprehensive reforms on areas such as healthcare. Although I haven't won every fight, and I've made powerful enemies along the way, I've never once thought about giving up. Vice President Giuliani, Senator Biden, and Governor Johnson are all decent men, but I stand out as the most principled and courageous candidate on this stage tonight. I've drawn the ire of banks and corporations, and I've even dodged an assassination attempt or two from holding up on principle. I've fought for people of all ages, races, and genders, and let the record stand that Dennis Kucinich will continue to fight for you as President.

TV/Radio Ad: The Issues

Hi, I'm Dennis Kucinich. There's a lot of talk going on in this election, but how much of it has substance? I'm running to shake up Washington and to change this country for the better. I have a plan to immediately withdraw from Iraq, provide universal healthcare, clean up our environment, and enact fair trade. You can go to denniskucinich.us to get the full details. People say that every election is the most important one of your lifetime, but this November, you have a choice to elect a ticket that will stand up for you and bring real changes. Vote for Kucinich/Sanders, the ticket about the issues.

I'd like to thank everybody who's tuned in tonight, as well as the moderator and the three gentlemen by my side for participating. This is the first debate since 1992 where we've had more than two voices pitching in on the issues facing this country, and I think we've had a much more productive and engaging talk tonight for that reason.

I didn't grow up with a lot. However, I did grow up with a caring family who taught me to appreciate what I had, even if it was little. I've brought those lessons from my childhood and have used them throughout my life, communicating with others and making a difference when possible. I've been around in politics for a few decades now, first serving in the Cleveland City Council, then moving up to mayor of Cleveland, then making a comeback years later as a state senator, and now currently serving as a congressmen. No matter how far up I've gone on the ladder, I've never forgotten about my roots, or who has helped me along the way.

I'm running to change the conversation. For too long, the Democrats and Republicans have been appeasing groups like Haliburton or Goldman Sachs more than they've given thought about their constituents at home. With wealth inequality rising, reckless imperialism overseas, unfair trade policies, and a whole host of other issues on the table, it's time to shake up our leadership in Washington. Bernie Sanders and I will truly be the people's voice in the White House, and I humbly ask for your vote in November. God bless you all, and God bless the United States of America.

Dennis Kucinich Debate Answers

Quote
You must be logged in to read this quote.

It's possible to go back to the days when our economy at home was more vibrant and secure, but we can't do that under our current policies, continued by both Democratic and Republican presidents. Our problem is that our trade policies have clearly not benefited American workers--instead, China, Mexico, and other countries have become the biggest beneficiaries. By promoting cheap labor for the sake of lower prices, we've absolutely trashed our economic bedrock: the jobs right here at home. That's unacceptable to me.

The president has to put their foot down and make a statement that fair trade is the way to go. This means that as president, I'll quickly withdraw from deals like NAFTA and the WTO that ship well-paying jobs to developing nations and leave regular Americans worse off in the long run. Future trade agreements will only get my approval if they set clear workers' rights in order to ensure that our jobs are safe. In addition, we should be looking at options like increasing tariffs on certain goods to encourage American-made products to be sold instead. Finally, a comprehensive national jobs program like what FDR did with the New Deal to put people back to work will stimulate domestic production and boost employment.

It's true, "made in America" is in decline right now. But the solutions that I see from my opponents only encourage free trade and only encourage decimating American jobs, and I'm here to offer a different path. It's time that we had a president with enough guts to stand up for America first.

As Governor Johnson said, you avoid throwing it to the House by winning 270 electoral votes, and that's what I'm aiming for. I may be running to promote ideas that haven't been given the spotlight before, but I'm running just as much to actually win and to carry out my proposals as president. I've been doing as much work as I can each day, traveling across the country, speaking to regular Americans about the most important issues, and laying out my vision for the future. I'm also candidly speaking to you right now at this debate and separating myself from my opponents on the stage by pointing out our differences.

You know, I may be a third-party candidate who apparently has no chance of winning if you listen to the talking heads on the news, but I've been underestimated plenty of times before. When I was running as a Democrat, everybody wrote me off when I first announced my campaign. No one would have expected me to come in a strong third in both Iowa and New Hampshire, not to mention even win a couple of primaries outright. The polls didn't always capture just how much of a large and enthusiastic following I've had, and I'm led to believe that the polls may not be getting the full picture in this general election. Really, Election Day is the only poll that matters, and let it be known that millions of Americans won't be considering a third-party vote "wasted" anymore.

I can say with complete sincerity that I believe all three of the men by my side tonight are good people. For their own reasons, they've gone to public service to try and better others' lives, and I can't criticize them for that alone. However, I don't have enough confidence in their views and vision for this country to wholeheartedly support them. If I did, I wouldn't be running right now. What America doesn't need is a leader who would gladly bomb the rest of the Middle East, or gut our safety net, or kowtow to big special interests. I see those things in my opponents, and I say before you tonight that we can do better.

Quote
You must be logged in to read this quote.

This issue isn't brought up all the time by politicians like the economy or terrorism is, but our environment is key to America's safety and stability. The simple truth is that if we don't take care of what nature has provided us, we will all be worse off for it very soon. In recent years, the government has taken the regulatory hands off and has let big business run wild, dirtying our air and water in the process. We're still very reliant on dirty energy sources like oil and coal, and other energy sources like nuclear have to be much more scrutinized. Carbon emissions have been skyrocketing, and global warming is a very real situation that we've got on our hands that will only become worse if we do nothing about it. A dirty environment is bad not just for the US, but for the rest of the world as well.

We must promote the health of the environment and of our people by changing how things are run. I will strengthen departments like the EPA to hold polluters accountable for their actions. We must invest much more in research for green energy sources like wind and solar, and I'll ban the risky practice of offshore drilling that has caused a great deal of ecological damage over the years. I also will propose a Works Green Administration that will refit millions of homes with wind and solar micro technologies over the span of a couple years. These are the main points of my plan for environmental renewal, and we must address this now before the damage is done and it's too late. Going Green this year will guarantee a green future for you and your kids.

I'd like to thank the moderator and the debate commission for organizing this debate. I also want to thank Vice President Giuliani, Senator Biden, and Governor Johnson for participating and creating a dynamic dialogue tonight. Finally, I'd like to thank anyone who's tuned in tonight to see what we have to say.

There's a lot to be said about the state of our country right now. In many ways, we are divided. We've seen conflicts like Iraq bring out passion on both sides, and President Bush himself has turned out to be a deeply polarizing figure in office. Many are worried about keeping their jobs, paying the bills, going to school, or getting insured. There's been a growing sense of pessimism and disillusionment that I've seen from Americans all around when it comes to politics, and perhaps understandably so. They don't see their leaders as standing up for their interests. Instead, they've been lining their own pockets from the big banks and the wealthy corporations that dominate Washington.

We can change that, though. I'm running to finally say enough is enough and to give the people the voice they've been looking for in the White House for so long. While the two parties may bicker with each other in public, they're more similar than they'd like to admit. A Green president will bring universal healthcare, an immediate end to the War in Iraq, free quality education for all, fair trade, no more sweet deals to big business, and the death of the police state. I'm not a spoiler for anybody, nor am I a wasted vote. I am seeking the support of Democrats, Republicans, Greens, Libertarians, and everyone in between. I will be a president for all of America, not just the very few. Now that you've heard from all of us, it is up to you, the voters, to decide what path you'll take us on for the next four years. Thank you all, and God bless the United States of America.

NHI, when Election Day comes may you also post congressional results if you haven't thought about doing that already? It would be interesting to see the composition of the House and Senate for the next president, and I'm also curious to know if third parties will get any seats because of their increased strength this year like what happened in the 2008 game.

Since I'm in a rush, I'll just post my schedule in a really condensed form:

Dennis Kucinich visited the states of Vermont, Washington, California, and Ohio, as well as Washington, D.C. Kucinich held rallies, fundraisers, town halls, and bus tours throughout those states, reaching out to prospective voters and motivating support across the country. Kucinich also engaged in debate prep before attending the final debate. He has been joined by surrogates such as Russ Feingold, Howard Dean, and Al Gore during his stops. Topics covered during stump speeches included Iraq, healthcare, education, social justice, and the environment.

Dennis Kucinich Campaign Schedule: October 16-23

In my hand here is my copy of the Constitution that I carry around with me. Everyone in Washington swore an oath to uphold this document, but many have not lived up to their promises. Just in the last couple of years, we've seen illegal wars being waged, Americans' Fourth Amendment rights being scrapped away, and a whole host of other violations towards the rule of law and our basic civil liberties. This is unacceptable and it has to stop now. Republicans as well as Democrats have failed to defend the American people when it's their time to do so. Just look at a law like the PATRIOT Act, which passed overwhelmingly in both houses of Congress. Joe Biden voted for it in the Senate and Rudy Giuliani has been an outspoken supporter from the beginning. I'll be a president that dismantles the growing police state and restores your freedoms. I was endorsed by the ACLU very early on in this election, because I have the record that truly stands out among all the candidates on these issues. Will you join me in this fight for liberty?

Stars come out for Kucinich/Sanders!

Today at a press conference, four well known celebrities came together on stage: TV personality Phil Donahue, filmmaker Michael Moore, actor Bill Murray, and Dead Kennedys singer Jello Biafra. They joined in unison enthusiastically endorsing Dennis Kucinich, calling him the only candidate who will bring real change. "Do you want Washington D.C. to listen to you?" Murray asked. "I sure do! That's what Dennis will bring to the White House, and that's why I'm supporting him." Moore called Kucinich "the guy in this race who hasn't been bought and who can't be bought," adding that "we'll spend less on bombs across the world and more on building right here at home." All four touched on the growing frustration from Americans towards government and stressed that every vote is important.

In the last few weeks of the campaign, Biafra, Donahue, Moore, and Murray are expected to be active surrogates, appearing in rallies and advertisements. The Kucinich campaign expects an additional boost in the polls to come with star power behind their back now and intends to make the most out of it.

Dennis Kucinich Campaign Schedule: October 24-31

October 24
-Barnstorming and GOTV in Haverhill, MA
-Barnstorming and GOTV in Fall River, MA
-Barnstorming and GOTV in Quincy, MA
-Barnstorming and GOTV in Worcester, MA
-Barnstorming and GOTV in Boston, MA

Throughout this election cycle, Congressman Sanders and I have been the only candidates to talk about the issues that matter to Americans. Not just the obvious issues, like Iraq or the minimum wage, but solving poverty, creating green energy, tackling corporate crime, and bringing universal healthcare. The people are ready for a change. As the election approaches, vote with your heart and do what you think is best for you and your family. We have been fighting for you, and we'll have one hell of a showing when the results are counted up!

October 25
-Barnstorming and GOTV in Taunton, MA
-Barnstorming and GOTV in Lawrence, MA
-Barnstorming and GOTV in Revere, MA
-Barnstorming and GOTV in Cambridge, MA
-Barnstorming and GOTV in Lowell, MA

October 26
-Barnstorming and GOTV in St. Cloud, MN
-Barnstorming and GOTV in Bloomington, MN
-Barnstorming and GOTV in Rochester, MN
-Barnstorming and GOTV in St. Paul, MN
-Barnstorming and GOTV in Minneapolis, MN

Minnesota, we know you're receptive to our message of peace and prosperity across the world! While my opponents and the media will try their hardest to wage a smear campaign against everything we stand for, we won't back down without a fight, and it's our chance to prove that in only a couple of days! Wouldn't you say it's time to get out of the Middle East for good? The neocons have tried and failed to gain control of Iraq, and they only have billions of dollars wasted and thousands of troops' lives gone to show for all of their efforts. I've been 100% opposed to this military adventure from the beginning, and my opponents like Senator Biden now have to change their position to fit in with public opinion. Make no mistake, President Kucinich will put an end to our reckless foreign policy once and for all!

October 27
-Barnstorming and GOTV in East Providence, RI
-Barnstorming and GOTV in Pawtucket, RI
-Barnstorming and GOTV in Cranston, RI
-Barnstorming and GOTV in Warwick, RI
-Barnstorming and GOTV in Providence, RI

October 28
-Barnstorming and GOTV in Oakland, CA
-Barnstorming and GOTV in Long Beach, CA
-Barnstorming and GOTV in Fresno, CA
-Barnstorming and GOTV in Bakersfield, CA
-Barnstorming and GOTV in San Francisco, CA

Let's talk about rights. There are basic human rights that all people of all countries are entitled to. Our Constitution grants us inalienable rights from our creator that government cannot infringe upon, although they've tried in recent years with measures like the PATRIOT Act. There are also workers' rights, so we don't have unsafe working facilities and we work under slave labor. Environmental rights also affect all of us, because without a healthy planet, we will all suffer. I'm the only candidate who touches on all of these rights. I want the UN to step up its roles and target war criminals for their actions. I want to restore the First and Fourth Amendment and ensure that we all live free. I'm the guy who has stood up for unions and workers against big business, and I'm the guy who has fought for conservation and against pollution. Look at my record on all of these issues and you will see that the other candidates can't compete with me. I will be a president that fights for all people.

October 29
-Barnstorming and GOTV in Stockton, CA
-Barnstorming and GOTV in Sacramento, CA
-Barnstorming and GOTV in San Jose, CA
-Barnstorming and GOTV in San Diego, CA
-Barnstorming and GOTV in Los Angeles, CA

Osama bin Laden's message that came out earlier reminded all of us who our real enemies are. While we've been destroying Iraq based on a mountain of lies, we've overlooked the terrorists responsible for actually attacking us on 9/11. What inspired these men to commit these atrocities? From their own words, it's been our involvement overseas for all these years. It's time that we rethink our priorities. Instead of bombing the entire region, we should pull out our troops and work on rebuilding what we've helped to destroy. It's not our job to be the world's policeman constantly. My Department of Peace will help to facilitate this transition to a smarter, peaceful foreign policy.

October 30
-Barnstorming and GOTV in Kailua, HI
-Barnstorming and GOTV in Hilo, HI
-Barnstorming and GOTV in East Honolulu, HI
-Barnstorming and GOTV in Pearl City, HI
-Barnstorming and GOTV in Honolulu, HI

October 31
-Barnstorming and GOTV in Biddeford, ME
-Barnstorming and GOTV in Auburn, ME
-Barnstorming and GOTV in Bangor, ME
-Barnstorming and GOTV in Lewiston, ME
-Barnstorming and GOTV in Portland, ME

Maine, you've had a strong history of bucking away from the two big parties and letting your independent streak be shown. You've proved that with the election and reelection of your former governor, Angus King. I come before you to say that I've been the same kind of independent voice as Governor King was for you. I've stood up to lobbyists in Washington, voting my conscience and always thinking about the best interests of my constituents. While my opponents may be funded by Haliburton or Goldman Sachs, I receive none of that money. I'm funded by regular Americans like all of you. I want to bring back peace, restore your rights, protect your jobs, and beat back corporate influence in government. Will you join me in this campaign?

Kucinich Surrogates: Out in Full Force!

George McGovern and Gore Vidal have gone on a nationwide tour together for the last week, explaining why they are in support of Kucinich and answering questions from the public and from the press. In particular, the two have been focusing on Kucinich's strong antiwar stance and how this will represent a significant change from the Bush years. "In 1972, I ran as the peace candidate," McGovern said at a stop in Santa Fe, New Mexico. "Now, in 2004, it's clear that Dennis Kucinich is fighting for the same principles that I did."

Ralph Nader, the Green Party's previous presidential nominee, has been enthusiastically supporting this year's ticket, barnstorming many states, particularly with active progressive bases. "Do you want to see corporate crime finally tackled for once?" Nader asked a crowd in Boston, Massachusetts. "How about no more corporate giveaways, and how about regulating the markets so the fat cats don't play around with your money? Dennis Kucinich will deliver with all of this, and more."

Al Gore has come back to barnstorm for the Kucinich campaign during these last few weeks. The former Vice President highlights Kucinich as being a man of convictions who is talking about issues that the other candidates are ignoring. "The issue I'm most passionate about these days is addressing global warming and its consequences for the world, and Congressman Kucinich has the most comprehensive plan to change our environmental and energy policies for the better that I've seen out of all the candidates running." Gore has been actively seeking support from traditionally Democratic voters and donors to switch over to the Greens this election.

Russ Feingold has been an active surrogate from the beginning, spending the most time in Midwestern states such as Iowa, Minnesota, and his home state of Wisconsin. Feingold has sought to boost motivation and turnout from progressive voters across the country who might be receptive to the campaign's message. "I know about one person in this election who's fought for the little guy his whole career, and that man is Dennis Kucinich, ladies and gentlemen!"

Howard Dean has been one of the most excitable and well-received surrogates of the campaign. An early endorser, Dean has been convincing liberals across the country that Kucinich better represents their interests than a candidate like Biden. "You're getting the best of the best with this man, my friends, and I know it. Who else will fight for peace, fight for universal healthcare, fight for free education, and fight for free trade all at once?" Dean has worked to also solidify Kucinich's lead in Vermont.

Mike Gravel, out of obscurity after decades, has worked tirelessly to make the case that Kucinich/Sanders is the ticket that will give regular Americans a voice in government again. "What the hell happened to us as a country? We've lost our voice somewhere along the way," Gravel stated to a group of supporters in Fairbanks, Alaska. "I can tell you, though, that we've got a chance to change all of that this November, and that begins by bringing in President Kucinich!"

Michael Moore, a prominent filmmaker, has been lending his voice to promote Kucinich and Sanders in the final stretch. "We have a chance to be bold, fight for what we believe in, and actually change the direction of the country with the Green Party in 2004!" Moore shouted to a crowd of excited supporters in Chicago, Illinois. Along with appearing in rallies, Moore has also been working the media, appearing in numerous interviews with news channels on behalf of the campaign.

Phil Donahue has used his years of working in the TV business to his advantage, aggressively pushing for Kucinich in interviews and appearances in an attention-grabbing and eloquent manner. "How many more kids must die in Iraq from our bombs, and how many more kids must die here at home without any proper medical care? When will we have a president that will finally offer real solutions? We may get that chance this year, but Dennis Kucinich is the only man capable of doing it." Donahue has also starred in some recent campaign ads as a recognizable face that will increase attention and support for the candidate.

Bill Murray has been the most visible celebrity that has endorsed Kucinich, and he has been instrumental in raising awareness about the issues of the campaign and vouching for the candidate nationwide, particularly through TV ads. "Dennis Kucinich is the candidate running on real change," one advertisement running across the country stated. "He means what he says and he'll talk straight with you. That's what I'm supporting him." Murray has also organized some fundraisers to raise money for campaign operations, attracting other Hollywood stars along the way.

TV/Radio Ad: Change

Americans are hungry for a change. Dennis Kucinich has been the bold leader that they are looking for. Kucinich has stood against Iraq from the very beginning. He has a plan to solve the nation's healthcare and education problems, providing universal access for all Americans. He has fought against big business for decades and has never backed down from defending the little guy. While other politicians' talk may be cheap, Dennis Kucinich means what he says, and he'll bring real change as President. I'm Dennis Kucinich, and I approve this message.

REPORTER: Congressman, what is your take on the recent squabble from the Biden and Giuliani campaigns over Senator Schumer's remarks?

KUCINICH: I don't think that this is what voters are caring about when they head to the polls. If politicians would spend this much energy on ending poverty, fixing our roads, and achieving world peace, then I bet we would be able to solve a lot more of our problems. That's not the case, though. As usual, they're instead avoiding the issues and pointing fingers at each other over petty things. I want to change that and tackle the issues head on when I head to the White House.

Millions are left without health insurance. Dennis Kucinich has a plan for universal coverage. Medicare for All will bring the same benefits that Medicare beneficiaries already receive and extend them to all ages. Profit doesn't come first under the Kucinich plan, care does. On November 2, vote for the ticket that fights for you. Vote Dennis Kucinich. I'm Dennis Kucinich, and I approve this message.

The people are loud and clear: our boys in Iraq must come home. Rudy Giuliani has been a vocal supporter for going into Iraq from the beginning, and would ramp up our involvement. Joe Biden opposes the war now, but in the Senate he voted in favor of intervention. The record is clear: Dennis Kucinich is the candidate who has stood firm against the war from the start. He rallied and led the opposition against Iraq in Congress, and as president, he'll bring the troops back home immediately. Dennis Kucinich: the voice for peace. I'm Dennis Kucinich, and I approve this message.
