Second, I'll be looking for VP.  If you want to apply, just send me your application.  I will also be contacting some people who I think would make good VPs.

You're taking your time contacting me then Wink

The President is appalled at the slow pace of reform with regard to the Third Constitution on the Senate floor.  As our news agency says, unless reform is enacted quickly, the game is going to die.  We must work quickly to secure Atlasia for the future.  The third constitution is a comprehensive plan that will at least ensure that Atlasia will become vibrant and fun again.  One can only hope that the next session of the Senate is more productive than this one.

Well, Christmas and New Year is not exactly the best time of year for the Senate to be firing on full cylinders. I consider it wishful thinking if you had expected the Third Constitution to be done and dusted by the end of the current Senate. Just because I'm content, more or less, to support your proposed Constitution en bloc, you can't expect every other member of the Senate to feel the same; hence, an array of amendments to work through

I will be vetoing the Restriction of Child Labor Bill.  Even if my current concern about the independent teenagers is resolved, I will still use the Presidential veto.  First of all, I feel that as long as federalism exists in this nation, child labor laws should be decided first at the local level.  Deciding how long children can work in federal territories in the Pacific Ocean does not take into account the diverse economies that these different island territories face.  For this reason, I shall be vetoing the Restriction of Child Labor Bill.

It's the last time I take on board any of your concerns, sir. I don't know why I even bother Roll Eyes looking for any acceptable compromises these days.

As it has become clear that Boss Tweed and I have different views on his role as Attorney General, I have noticed that he is not willing to serve at the pleasure of the President.  I asked him to resign, but he has refused.  For this reason, I hereby dismiss Boss Tweed from his position as Attorney General and nominate Brandon W.

I would like the Senate to confirm both my nominees currently on the table once the new session starts.

I can call the hearings now, if you wish

Well if the new session starts tomorrow, I don't see the point of calling them tonight.

I quite agree. I'm not moving anymore new legislation or calling any more votes on the floor. It's for the Seventeenth Senate and the new PPT to determine what to do now with any pending legislation

My last act, as PPT, was to call a vote on my amendment to the Restriction of Child Labor Bill and tomorrow I'll report on the Atlasian Revitalization Committee at some stage before noon
