I'm sure that this woman posted ban-worthy stuff on Twitter.
If an elected official is a proponent of Sharia Law, that IS a legitimate issue for discussion. It's not too much to require an elected official to publicly state that Sharia Law has no place whatsoever in American Law and Jurisprudence. If an elected official cannot, or will not, make such a proclamation, I'll not vote for that person, even if they promise me Cadillac Healthcare for life.
It's a completely superfluous proclamation.
Do you also consider Trump being asked to denounce the KKK superfluous? I’m assuming you do not but the requirement is comparable.
Trump was endorsed by David Duke. I would expect a U.S. politician endorsed by the Taliban to reject the endorsement.
Trump did repudiate Duke's endorsement. The media, however, wouldn't stop bringing it up.
Lots of morons of all stripes make unsolicited endorsements of candidates. Trump never solicited Duke's endorsement, and repudiated it. The media, however, was less accommodating with Trump than they were with Obama and Bill Ayres.
