Kander is dropping out of the KC race to seek treatment for PTSD and depression

This would be a terrible move for Kander.

Big City Mayoralties are notorious dead ends.  Big City Mayors often end up sullying their reputations (deservedly or not) and because in most states, the rest of the state is often at odds with its largest city/cities, the job actually becomes an electoral liability.

If Kander wants a comeback, he needs to see if he can find a Congressional seat he can win, or wait to run for Governor.  This is NOT a good move if the goal is to be President.
