This isn't a racist thing to recognize or ask, so I'm not sure what the objection is about.

No, it's not.

Link probably just thought that I as an Austrian must be racist (even though I'm certainly not) and that a moderator can't post topics like that.

I'm actually interested if Blacks in the UK and Canada also talk differently, or if it is just the case in the US with the poorer population segment ? Maybe the posters from there know more.

To me, Obama for example seems to talk like the white mainstream, or is it just me as a non-native English speaker who can't hear out the small differences ?

In Canada, they speak differently from your typical white person, but the difference is not quite as pronounced as in the USA.
