You guys are forgetting the hundreds of thousands of Afghan refugees.

Afghanistan:

- 37% adult literacy rate (almost two thirds of adults are illiterate)
- 18% of Afghans have internet access (6% of women) as of 2021
- 99% of Afghans believe Sharia should be the "law of the land" (Pew data)
- 85% of Afghans believe adultery should be punished by stoning (Pew data)

When it comes to Turkey people like to talk about how absurd it was to expect millions of Syrian adult refugees to quickly adapt to life in a foreign country, but Syria doesn't hold a candle to how undeveloped Afghanistan is.
