How can you? Romney's plans are so intentionally vague you can't tell whether they would be better or worse. Not that Obama has been a model of clarity either. That lack of clarity on both sides is the prime reason why this election has turned into a referendum on likeability and trust, which so far Romney has been losing.
I don't really care about Romney's plans. I believe in the man himself. I'm not voting for a political platform. I'm voting for someone I believe will be the most eminently qualified, competent, and diligent president in history. In all honesty, I believe he doesn't elucidate his exact plans in order to prevent the GOP base from being mad. Because
nothing in Romney's personal history suggests someone who is an ideologue (something very different from Obama or any of Romney's primary candidates). He was a center-left governor in MA and a non-ideological problem solver at the Olympics.
I mean, I personally want short-term stimulus (very unpopular among Republicans but probably necessary) as well as long-term entitlement reform (as opposed to adding another one ala Obama), and I suspect that's what Romney will deliver if he wins. And if that's his plan, there's obvious reasons why he can't declare it.
