The only way this is good is if there's a civil war and I somehow find myself on the liberal side. Otherwise, this is bad.


Meh. While I don't really agree with liberals on politics or philosophy, I don't think they are inherently more likely to commit violent crime with their guns than conservatives are. Plus rapists and other criminals prey on liberals and conservatives alike. If enough liberals buy guns and learn about them they will be less likely to make as many ignorantly cringeworthy derpy comments and more likely to accept that the 2nd Amendment really is part of the Bill of Rights.

Gun owners are statistically more likely to be killed, so this is pretty much objectively bad. It should be above politics.

Well yeah, someone who owns a gun is more likely to accidentally shoot themselves than someone who has ever held a gun. Shocker. That doesn't mean guns are bad.
