Certainly.

This turn is over. I'll gather the information and the write-up will be up in a few hours.

There will be three POV's released before the main update, the protagonists have finally been selected:

Lady Ashara Dayne, at the Tower of Joy
Davos the Smuggler, at Storm's End
Ser Bonifer Hasty, at King's Landing

It was tough choosing the POV's, really. Since my time is limited, I had to abandon a POV in the Trident and another one in King's Landing. It will take some hours to write everything, but I hope you'll enjoy the result.

Dice rolls completed. As is the custom, I can tell you that one player is dead, and another reached a game over. The rest of you are alive and well for now.

Sorry it's taking too long, the POV's are taking more time than expected. Davos and Bonifer are up as they were the easy ones, but Ashara is giving me trouble. I hope to get that one up tonight, but the full update may take a bit longer.

The three POV's are finished. I'll get some sleep and then work on the End of Turn update. I can confirm that as per the Davos chapter Stannis is the dead player. The End of Turn update will reveal the player who recieved an endgame, and I can confirm it's none of the players that show up as characters in the POV's.

I'm still writing, but I'll give you a spoiler. There was a battle in the Trident, a very bloody, very confusing one.

End of turn updated. My condolences to GoTfan, who found a noble death, and Windjammer, who is now hostage to Euron Greyjoy. This is the updated cast:

The Viserys Loyalists:

Rhaella Targaryen, the Queen Regent (Dkrol)

The Aegon Loyalists:

Doran Martell, Prince of Dorne (Mycool)
Varys, Exiled Spymaster (Garlan Gunter)
Tywin Lannister, Lord of Casterly Rock (Leonardo the Red)

The Rebel Lords:

Jon Arryn, Lord of the Eyrie (Swedge)
Eddard Stark, Lord of Winterfell (YPestis)
Hoster Tully, Lord of the Riverlands (Badgate)

The Lords of Westeros:

Quellon Greyjoy, Lord of Pyke (Bacon King)
Walder Frey, Lord of the Crossing (LouisvilleThunder)
Deremond Darry, Lord of Castle Darry

Now available are:

-The Stormlands (a given player can choose Ser Cortnay, Lord Estermont or other key Baratheon bannermen)

-The Reach (either the Tyrells via Olenna, or not captured important vassals like Houses Tarly, Florent and Redwyne)

Thank you, gentlemen, I rather enjoyed writing the POV's and End of Turn. The new turn will be up tomorrow in case there are more players. Windjammer retains control over the Reach.

Quick question, is the rebel army at the Bloody Gate or the Trident?

At the Bloody Gate, I'll update that part. The arrival of the next turn got a bit delayed, but it's coming tonight after I update the 2012 Game.

Will Doran be getting a status update as well? I saw the army update.

What do you mean? Your turn crises are up along with the others.

Lord Mace Tyrell has been released as per the terms of the latest declaration. Windjammer is Lord Tyrell once again, standing outside Storm's End with his released vassals.

I'd like to join as Lord Estermont, if possible.

Sure thing. I'll add you to the turn as we're just starting this one.

Any interesting roles that have not been taken?

I'm afraid the more relevant ones are taken already, save from Houses like the Yronwoods or Daynes, adventurer characters like Oberyn Martell or Jon Connington, or Magister Illyrio.

If we want to add a new dimension to the game, I suppose we could make one of the Free Cities of Essos available to give the game a twist.

Oberyn sounds fun, go have some adventures, poison folks, maybe make some more Sand Snakes.

Oberyn is reserved for you then, you'll begin at the start of the next turn.

There has been some talk about Great Councils, so I want to go a bit more on detail on how this mechanic will work. While you are all free to form your own informal versions (at the risk of your Great Council being ignored by many in the Seven Kingdoms), for a formal Great Council to have full effect and legitimacy (to the benefit of the decisions made on it) it will require a special process:

For a formal Great Council to be activated, at least seven players (thus a majority of the 12 member player base) must post the following in the Gameplay Thread:

Quote
You must be logged in to read this quote.

You are also welcome to propose yourself or others as host. Upon seven players stating their support the game will move into a special phase to simulate the Great Council (with its own timetable and rules), with players outlining how they will participate (or if they will join the Council in case they haven't signed). It is assumed Houses will send individual representatives or the lords themselves, you're free to choose if you go yourself or send someone else.

Should there ever be the seven given signatures, I will then explained the rules for the Great Council. For those of you who played by Fear and Loathing in 1972 Election Game, it will work in a similar manner (in terms of gameplay) to the heavily contested Democratic National Convention and its multiple balloting.

Given that the upcoming Loyalist talks in Highgarden are not a Great Council per se, do the players want me to simulate a larger event (for example, creating a special thread) or they prefer public negotiation amongst themselves?

How much longer is this turn? Until the next weekend again?

Turns are set to last a week, so until Friday.

Can I possibly get an extension? I'm working until 1030pm CST, possibly staying later if I have to.  Just need to be able to submit later on tonight. Maybe extend until 6am tomorrow?

Granted. Turn will end in roughly 14 hours.

Turn closed. I'll be reviewing the orders and see which POV's are the best to cover up the events.

Definitely getting hyped for the end of turn posts. Lumine, I know your time is valuable but when are you projecting to have them out?

Well, I updated Forward today, so tomorrow afternoon. All depends on the POV's though, I have two characters and I'm missing a third.

Woah, calculating took much longer than expected! Some very detailed orders out there, took a while to organize the battles and settle the POV's.

Tomorrow I will work full time on this and update during the day. In the meantime, I can note that two players are eliminated due to inactivity (but their characters are not dead), and one of you reached a game over of sorts. I say "of sorts" because it's more complicated than what it sounds. Several key battles took place, including one larger than the Trident and the Field of Fire in numbers.

As to the POV's, it has been a pain as I've struggled with the fact I needed at least four, which would have dragged an update too much. As a result, our POV's are Ser Jaime Lannister in King's Landing, Lady Cersei Lannister at Casterly Rock, and Lord Walter Whent at Highgarden. A final POV at the Stormlands has been eliminated, as I'd prefer not to repeat POV characters in consecutive turns.
