That doesn't change things a lot. Bush approval ratings were pretty horrible because of the Iraq and Afhganinstan. Even without a Financial Crises, I can see Obama winning. However, I believe that Hillary would easily get the nomination.
The financial crisis not happening wouldn't affect the Democratic Primaries much at all, so I'm sure Obama would still get the nod, or at least make it a race.
