I believe Newsom will retain his office. Let's consider for a moment Elder (or another R) took office, what would be his strategy for winning next November? Even if he became governor this year, he'd be gone 15 months later.

I find it hilarious Newsom is winning Orange County w/ 75% of the vote in. All that money wasted to attempt recalling the gov and Republicans are currently losing OC. lol

Edit: the current top story on FoxNews.com reads "Calif. Gov Newsom declares victory, Larry Elder concedes as troubled state sticks with status quo" Huh also lol
