If China had gotten worse over the past 30 years, the CPC would've been overthrown years ago.

Most people don’t like living in dystopia even if they get shiny towers and fast trains.
The CPC is obviously doing many bad things, but it is exceptionally ignorant to characterize China as a dystopia. Somalia, Syria, North Korea, and for the time being, possibly Venezuela, are dystopias.
If you think China is a dystopia, you don't understand and you never will.
