But I want a funny named Senator to be there, especially since Mike Crapo is probably going to go down in a firey primary after his drunk driving or not even run. I endorse Brian Schatz!

Isn't Risch up this year though?

Yeah Risch is the one this year, but still, no way Crapo survives in 2016, so might as well be safe and keep Schatz.

Agreed. Romanoff's primary challenge to Bennett in 2010 arguably made the latter a better candidate and helped him to win the general.

I love how Dems are stronger candidates after a tough primary but Republicans are weaker

It depends on how the primary is. If it's an ideological purity contest, it makes you weaker. If not, generally, makes you stronger.

Ironically Schatz is the conservative Senator from Hawaii according to ProgressivePunch. Hanabusa is far to his right, while Hirono is only a hair to his left, though.

See? Get that DINO piece of crap out of office!

Senator HanabUSA will move far to the left as one of the most powerful Senators in the nation. Mark my words.

Way to be an illiterate.

Oh, a good reason to like Schatz then!

Schatz has his first ad out. He talks about his efforts to fight for Social Security and talks about his in-laws who live with him (And happen to be Asian, for some good optics)

That's a good ad, I wouldn't be surprised if stuff like that pushes him ahead of Hanabusa.

She (along with Ed Case) has been an HP since the special election in 2010. Everyday it's more and more clear that Schatz is the superior politician.

To be fair, in the 2010 Special Election, she was the lesser evil.

Certainly, but they were both complicit in the temporary loss of that seat, which catapulted Djou to the top of Hawaii Republicans and gave them a credible candidate for years ahead.

With each election he loses, the less credible Djou becomes. (See Cam Cavasso).

Cavasso was never credible in the first place.
